ASSURE

Analyze Learners

 Audience:

  •  College audio-visual, visual and auditory Educational Technology I learners or students.

Gathering of Data:

  • Conduct a summative test on the former visual, auditory and audio-visual Educational Students.
  • Conduct a diagnostic test on the incoming batch of visual, auditory and audio-visual Educational Students.

Problem:

  • How to create and develop an effective and creative audio-visual presentation suitable for the audio-visual learners?


State Standards and Objectives

Objectives:

  • Improve delivery of the subject matter;
  • to improve learning and mastery of the subject matter among students;
  • arouse and maintain the interest, attention and participation of the visual, auditory and audio-visual students of Educational Technology I;
  • to cater the needs of audio-visual, visual and auditory learners.

Design:



  1. Mostly or only keywords 
  2. Font size should be 36-44 for titles and 28-32 for texts
  3. Background and foreground combination
  4. 6 lines with 6 words per slides
  5. Insertion of animations, videos, pictures and media should have a purpose
  6. Follow 3C: correct, current and complete in creating the material and gathering resources
  7. Observe citation
  8. If posted in the net; it shouldn’t take too much time to load and is efficient as possible.

  • Dreamweaver – software for HTML and CSS coding.
  • Adobe Photoshop – software for picture editing.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint – software for creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Microsoft Word – software for creating documents.
  • Windows Movie Maker – software for creating and editing videos.

Facilitators Training:

Review of the content and arrangement of the subject matter in the powerpoint presentation

The Preparation for The Learners:

  • If classroom-based:
                  Ensuring of the LCD, laptop and the room to be used.
  • If internet based:
                  Ensuring the accessibility of the storage or viewing site hosting the powerpoint presentation.

Require Learner Participation

  • Present the PowerPoint Presentation inside the class.
  • Upload the PowerPoint Presentation on the internet.
  • Ask the students to write a reaction paper/take down notes and etc.

Evaluate & Revise

  • Perform a diagnostic and summative evaluation on the learners through a quiz, oral recitation and etc.
  • Perform a diagnostic, formative and summative evaluation on the facilitators through an interview.
  • Ask an expert regarding the presentation made.
